How to add products

Welcome to the ShareHK vendor community! Follow this step-by-step guide to easily add your products or services and start selling to customers across the UK.

Access Your Vendor Dashboard #

1. Log in to your account on ShareHK.
2. Go to your Vendor Dashboard (usually found in the top navigation or account menu).

Navigate to Products #

1. On the left-hand menu, click on Products.
2. Click the Add New (or Add Product) button at the top right.

Select Product Type & Visibility (Catalog, Virtual, Downloadable) #

Before typing out the details, check these options at the top of the page to define what kind of item you are listing:

• Virtual: Check this box if you are offering a Service or an intangible item that does not require physical shipping (e.g., consulting, local repair services, workshop tickets). Checking this will automatically disable shipping fees.
• Downloadable: Check this box if the customer is buying a digital file (e.g., e-books, digital art prints, guides, software). Once checked, a section will appear below for you to upload the file that customers receive instantly after purchase.
• Catalog (Catalog Visibility): Use this feature if you want to showcase a premium item (like a rare collector’s pen) but do not want customers to add it to the cart immediately, or if you want to control where the item appears (e.g., visible in the shop directory but hidden from search results).

Enter Product Basic Information #

• Product Title: Enter a clear, descriptive name for your item (e.g., Parker Duofold Classic Fountain Pen).
• Price (£): Set your regular retail price.
• Sale Price (£) [Optional]: If you want to run a discount, enter the sale price here. You can even schedule it!

Upload Product Images #

• Featured Image (Main Image): Click the large image box to upload your primary product photo. This will be shown on the shop directory.
• Product Gallery: Click the smaller image slots below to add more photos showing different angles, packaging, or details.

Step 6: Choose Categories & Tags #

• Categories: Check the boxes that best fit your product or service (e.g., Stationery > Luxury Pens). This helps customers find your items easily.
• Tags: Add a few keywords separated by commas (e.g., parker, fountain pen, gift idea).

Write Product Descriptions #

• Short Description: This appears right next to the product images. Keep it brief, punchy, and highlight the main selling point (1–2 sentences).
• Detailed Description: Scroll down to the main text area. Provide full details here, such as dimensions, materials, shipping notes, or brand/service history.

Inventory & Shipping (Inventory Tab) #

• SKU: Enter a unique identifier for your stock tracking (optional).
• Manage Stock: Check this box if you want the system to automatically count down your inventory when items are sold. Input your Stock Quantity. (Note: This can be skipped for purely virtual services).
• Shipping & Weight: For physical items, fill in the weight and dimensions to ensure accurate shipping calculations.

Submit or Publish #

• Review all information to ensure accuracy.
• Click Submit (or Publish). Depending on platform settings, your product will either go live instantly or be sent to administration for a quick review!
